Hillary Clinton took time out from campaigning for president Monday to have a private lunch with President Obama at the White House.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters — after Mrs. Clinton had left the premises — that she visited with Mr. Obama for an “informal” lunch for about 90 minutes. He said it wasn’t all that unusual for them to “catch up in person” when their schedules permit.

“They discussed a wide array of topics, but this was mostly a social occasion,” he said.
