I am a white Christian, and I take offense at “Black professor chastises white Americans: ’Admit to the racist poison inside of you’” (Web, Dec. 28). Since 90-plus percent of black votes go to Democrats, many blacks may think I am racist because I oppose Democrats. That isn’t true.

My Christianity is the highest authority in my life, and I vote for Republicans because they are much closer to my Christian beliefs.

The Democratic Party is the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, government-worshiping party that believes the government is the source of all good things and the final decider of what is right and wrong. As a Christian I believe that voting for a Democrat is sacrilegious.

I do question how anyone, black, white or any other race, can claim to be a Christian and still vote for Democrats. You can be a Christian or a Democrat, but you can’t be both. Make your choice.
