Almost 70 percent of Americans are choosing big government over big business and big labor as the biggest threat the the country in the future — close to an all-time high.
Sixty-nine percent chose big government as the country’s biggest threat in the future, compared to 25 percent who said big business and 6 percent who said big labor, according to the newly released Gallup poll. That’s close to the high of 72 percent in 2013.
Eighty-eight percent of Republicans named big government as the biggest threat, compared to 67 percent of independents and 53 percent of Democrats.
The survey of 824 U.S. adults was taken from Dec. 2-6 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
