The New York Daily News and like-minded leftists who have declared that ’God isn’t fixing this’ are correct. Aside from miracles, God uses human beings to accomplish His goals and plans here on Earth. However, He does not use those who assert that His power and grace are of no help or are non-existent. Indeed, God’s grace is non-existent for these faithless individuals, who will continue to be useless in helping to fix the world.

Our Founding Fathers faced problems bigger than our problems today, and trusting in God and prayer was the driving force of those who built a great nation with their hands, their blood and their belief in the grace of God. They succeeded not because they rightly knew God alone wouldn’t build the country, but because they knew that only with Him would their hands build the nation they envisioned.

The human hands that constructed our nation, in the words of George Washington, “acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of man” while the human hands that have been building a wall of separation from that Invisible Hand for decades now have a nation in serious need of fixing. The fixing will come when we once again have leadership strong enough to say, “Tear down that wall” to the builders of the wall not separation not of church and state, but of God and nation.
