SUNSET, La. — A sheriff says two people are dead in southwest Louisiana, including a police officer responding to a domestic dispute.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz identifies the victims as 51-year-old Officer Henry Nelson and 40-year-old Shameka Johnson. He says two other women also were stabbed: Johnson’s sister, 34-year-old Shurlay Johnson, and Courtney Jolivette, the wife of the man who is accused in the attacks.

He says 35-year-old Harrison Lee Wiley Jr. drove from the house and ran his car into a store where he barricaded himself.

Guidroz says Wiley has an extensive criminal record.
