Georgia police have arrested a black woman accused of posting a Facebook message that said she was plotting to kill at least 15 white police officers.
East Point police say Ebony Monique Dickens, posting on Facebook under the name Tiffany Milan, wrote, “all black ppl should rise up and shoot at every white cop in the nation starting now,” a local Fox affiliate reported.
In a separate post, police said Ms. Dickens wrote, “I thought about shooting every white cop I see in the head until I’m caught by the police or killed by them. Ha!!!! I think I can pull it off. Might kill a least 15 tomorrow. I’m plotting now.”
Police say Ms. Dickens admitted to writing the messages when they arrested her.
She’s charged with making online terroristic threats and made her first appearance in court Wednesday. The judge set bond at $10,000 and ordered all of her social media accounts be suspended.
The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security also are investigating.
The arrest comes amid rising racial tensions in Baltimore following the April 19 death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died from spinal injuries he suffered while in police custody.
