Racists in France can literally celebrate the country’s top administrative court’s Thursday ruling with a racist cake.

France’s State Council overruled a lower court’s ruling from last month that banned “La belle epoque” from displaying racist cakes in its windows, Agence France Presse reported Thursday.

For 15 years baker Yannick Tavolaro has made racist chocolate cakes of black men and women each weekend. A resident of Grasse complained in March, and the legal battle began once the CRAN anti-racism group got involved, AFP reported. The group urged the town’s mayor to intervene on its behalf.

The lower court’s initial ruling imposed a fine of $536 for every day La belle epoque’s racist cakes were displayed, saying the treats were a violation of “human dignity.” The town was also ordered to pay the anti-racism group over $1,000, AFP reported.
