The suspected mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that killed 166 people has been released in Pakistan.
Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi’s was released on bail Friday. A Pakistani court ordered his release March 13, but an Islamic terror attack on a school that killed 140 people led to a delay.
“We can’t say exactly where is he at the moment for security reasons,” an official told Agence France Presse Friday.
India’s Home Minister Rajnath Singh said Friday the decision to release Lakhvi, the suspected leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), was “unfortunate and disappointing,” BBC reported.
