Former President Bill Clinton is slated to return to his home state of Arkansas next week to rally support for Democrats in this year’s midterm elections.
He is scheduled to headline rallies and campaign events at the University of Central Arkansas and Arkansas State University on Oct. 6 and the University of Arkansas and the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers onOct. 7, according to the state Democratic party.
Gov. Mike Beebe is also scheduled to be on hand at the ASU event. Democrat Mike Ross and Republican Asa Hutchinson are running to replace Mr. Beebe, a Democrat, and Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor is fending off a challenge from GOP Rep. Tom Cotton for his Senate seat this year in the state
Recent public polling shows the Republican candidates with slight advantages in the races.
