Rep. Judy Chu, California Democrat, said Monday that Congress needs to authorize further strikes in Syria if officials determine it’ll be a sustained action against the Islamic State.
“If there is some kind of sustained airstrike, then I think, yes, we do need to come together and make sure these airstrikes or any sustained action is an authorization,” she said on MSNBC.
Despite that, Ms. Chu said the strikes were a good thing and contained the terrorist group that has “gone unchecked for months.”
