DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Institute of Arts is hosting an exhibition of works on paper from some of the top artists of the late 19th century.

Called “Ordinary People by Extraordinary Artists: Works on Paper by Degas, Renoir and Friends” opens on Friday and runs through March 29 of next year.

It features works from what the DIA calls a “who’s who” of the most important artists of the late 19th century and focuses on their images of people.

The works include pastels, etchings and lithographs of Edgar Degas’ (day-GAWZ’) bathers, dancers and jockeys; Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s (ren-WARZ’) portraits of his family and celebrities; and Paul Cezanne’s (say-ZAWNZ’) bathers.

The show is free with museum admission and free for residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
