The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows Democrats with a 3-point lead, 41 percent to 38 percent, on the generic congressional ballot.

The national telephone survey for the week ending Sept. 14 finds 41 percent of likely voters in the country would vote for the Democrat in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, and 38 percent would choose the Republican.

The survey of 3,500 likely voters has a margin of plus or minus 2 percentage points. The latest RealClearPolitics average gives the GOP a 3-point edge on the congressional ballot.
