It is said that a parent’s vices eventually come back to haunt them and their children. This is certainly true of Ashley Tull of Selbyville, Del. Ms. Tull’s 4-year-old daughter took a different backpack to her day care center after her regular bag was ruined by a family pet, and it contained 250 packets of heroin, which she distributed some to her classmates, thinking it was candy (“Police: 4-year-old took heroin to day care,” Web, Oct. 7). Thankfully, none of her classmates opened or ingested the contents of the packets.

Ms. Tull was arrested on three counts of child endangerment (for putting her three children in harm’s way) and for maintaining a drug property. Ms. Tull’s sister claims that Ms. Tull does not deal drugs and that someone took advantage of her by storing the drugs at her home without her knowledge. That’s a tall tale if I ever heard one.
