BAR HARBOR, Maine (AP) - The Coast Guard is continuing to oversee salvage operations in the wake of the sinking of a boat off of Acadia National Park.

The Coast Guard says Wednesday that the RV Tiger Shark has sustained significant damage due to weather. The guard says a commercial salvage company removed all of the diesel fuel and batteries from the vessel, and no further pollution has occurred.

The Tiger Shark sank about a half mile from Thunder Hole. The only occupant of the 50-foot charter fishing boat escaped injury. The Coast Guard says it is still investigating the cause of the incident.
