PHOENIX (AP) - A major hotel in downtown Phoenix has reopened after being closed since last weekend for repairs after a fire in an electrical room.

The fire Saturday at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix Hotel forced the evacuation of approximately 800 guests, who were relocated to other hotels. No injuries were reported from the fire.

Spokeswoman Shawna Wolfe says workers labored through the night to finish the repairs in time for Friday’s reopening.

The Sheraton is located in downtown next to the city convention center. It has about 1,000 rooms and 80,000 square feet of meeting space.

The hotel opened in September 2008 and bills itself as the largest hotel in Arizona.
