The president of the United States is the elected president of all the American people — so why is he permitted to raise money only for the political party of which he is a member?

Is it because nobody bothers to question this politically biased behavior that uses taxpayer dollars to fund these expeditions in favor of his party and its election drives? The American taxpayers pay to fuel Air Force One and these visits.

Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, tried to legislate against this practice, but was unfortunately not successful.
