Every day, individuals, groups and organizations provide information on President Obama’s destructive policies and the determination of Republicans to win control of the Senate and maintain control of the House. However, every day the mistakes of previous elections seem to be repeated.

First, in the primaries, several of the winners in key states faced inappropriate negative attacks from their opponents. These influenced voters and potentially provided Democratic challengers an edge in November 2012. Second, there are Tea Party-supported candidates and other Republicans running as independents. In several races a 5 percent to 9 percent vote for those candidates would allow the Democratic opponents to win.

Every Republican and conservative, as well as many independents and a few Democrats, want to see the Obama- and Democrat-led destruction of our country stop. Obviously, money does help in campaigns, but votes win elections. For all those who profess to wish to have Republicans take charge and restore our country, it is time to urge supporters and followers to vote for the Republican candidate who actually won his primary.

What personal satisfaction is it to have 5 percent of the vote, and by doing that leave Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in control of the Senate, doing Mr. Obama’s bidding? If that person won’t do it, the people who vote can do the right thing. United we win. The alternative is more of the same for two or more years.
