It is time to state the obvious. President Obama does not want to ban flights from West Africa, likely because he wants anyone who is infected with Ebola or thinks he might be infected to be able to come here for treatment — despite the risk to U.S. citizens and the enormous cost the care and treatment will cost.

If, through the “screening” he is mandating, someone is revealed to have a fever or otherwise show symptoms, that person is going to be isolated and, if necessary, treated. Those who are not displaying symptoms or are not subject to screening, but who are later found to have Ebola, will receive treatment. Mr. Obama is certainly not going to send them back to West Africa and risk infecting people who would have to facilitate and provide such transportation.

Mr. Obama has made it clear that U.S. citizens are not his primary concern. He has stated that he is required to make sure Americans are taken care of, but his larger role is to make sure that Africans and their children are safe. “Taken care of” shows a lower level of regard than “making sure” someone is “safe.” Further, Mr. Obama’s actions with regard to illegal immigration show clearly that the president places the interests, health and safety of illegal immigrants far above those of American citizens.

Clearly, Mr. Obama’s priorities are misplaced, to say the least. His actions are treasonous and are risking the safety and lives of American citizens. He should not be president of a country whose citizens he holds in such low esteem.
