ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Georgia Democratic Senate hopeful Michelle Nunn has plenty to be happy about — she’s leading Republican David Perdue in some polls, and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee just sent more money to the state to boost her efforts.
But strangely enough, she’s responding to the momentum by adopting the strategy of her Kentucky counterpart Alison Lundergan Grimes: she’s refusing to say if she voted for President Obama.
Over the last week, Ms. Grimes has twice denied the president, and she’s taken plenty of criticism for it. Since then, the DSCC has stopped running ads in her bid against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in favor of Ms. Nunn’s more competitive race.
On Wednesday, Ms. Nunn was approached by Rising Response, a conservative tracking firm, ahead of an event in Atlanta.
She kept her mouth shut and walked away when asked if she voted for Mr. Obama in 2008 and 2012.

The “deny Obama” strategy appeared to do its damage to Ms. Grimes, but as the video shows, Ms. Nunn thought it needed more field testing.
