The war between U.S. Marines and the Korean army has gone viral online, only the two sides battle it out with drums instead of rifles.

A musical showdown between the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band and the Republic of Korea Army Band that took place at the 2014 Gyeryong Military Culture Festival was uploaded by YouTube user bhijar07 and has already acquired over 1.5 million views. The impressive musical performance has even been picked up by Time magazine and Business Insider.

After a coin flip, the Koreans went first to a round of applause. Then, things heated up when the Marines marched right up to their allies, even using the Korean instruments at times during the performance.

At the end of the showdown, one of the Marines announces that the battle was “a tie.”

“The video certainly shows where music can break through a language barrier,” Time wrote on Thursday.
