Because I know The Washington Times cares about accuracy, I would like to correct a statement in “The academic mob silences free speech, again” (Editorial, Web, Oct. 10). The Times writes, “The California State University System ’derecognized’ 23 Christian organizations because membership was limited to Christians.”

In fact, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s 23 chapters on California State University campuses welcome everyone, Christian or non-Christian. However, we do not believe the CSU system should be telling our chapters that we should allow non-Christians to lead our chapters, our Bible studies or our prayer meetings. That is a different, and much more significant, issue.
