D.C. police are searching for a cab driver officials say raped a female passenger early Sunday.

The sexual assault occurred in the 700 block of Kennedy Street Northwest between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday. Police were short on details, including if the woman was being picked up or dropped off at the location, saying only that the victim was a passenger in the cab when she was sexually assaulted by the driver.

The driver was described as a black man approximately 6’2” to 6’4” who drove a four-door taxicab with the red and grey color-scheme adopted last year by the D.C. Taxicab Commission.
