I love this country of ours because in it we can all enjoy basic human rights. I am particularly thankful for our freedom of speech. However, while The Washington Times’ headlines today are each by themselves newsworthy, I am deeply concerned about the possible fallout from running two particular headlines close to one another.

In your Nov. 12 print version, “ICE lawsuit exposes how feds free illegals” ran next to “To appease Muslims, school cut references to holidays.” Who at the newspaper decided on this article placement? It lumps in decent, hardworking U.S.-citizen Muslims with the Muslim haters. Who decided that it was OK to start bullying the minorities again?
