CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A Myrtle Beach woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing her ex-boyfriend outside the home of his new girlfriend.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (https://bit.ly/1ixXifh ) an Horry County jury found 51-year-old Vivian Schrader-Falls guilty of murder Thursday.

Prosecutors say Schrader-Falls knocked on the girlfriend’s door in March 2012 and asked to see 46-year-old Tony Hughes. A woman answered the door and said he wasn’t there, but Hughes told the woman it was his ex-girlfriend and he would go and see her.

The new girlfriend testified she then saw Schrader-Falls shoot the victim three times, walk to her car and sit down inside.

Schrader-Falls apologized to Hughes’ family after she was convicted. She was sentenced to the minimum punishment for murder.
