ANGIE, La. (AP) - An inmate who escaped Sunday from the Rayburn Correctional Center is back in custody.

WWL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1ssFVzF ) the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 52-year-old Patrick Martin was caught Thursday morning.

Martin fled the prison, based in Angie, while working at a horse barn. According to the warden, the barn is outside of the prison’s secured area.



The sheriff’s office says Martin was spotted Wednesday night in woods adjacent to Varnado. A perimeter was tightened to a small area on the northeast quadrant of the main Varnado intersection.

Martin is serving a sentence for an armed robbery in Tangipahoa Parish
