Driver shot in Auburn parking lot; suspects caught

AUBURN, Wash. (AP) - A woman was shot in the neck as she sat in the driver’s seat of a car Friday in an Auburn parking lot.

Police say she was one of three people who met for a drug transaction that turned into a robbery.

A man with a gun got out of the car and shot the woman. He and another woman fled but were arrested nearby.

The wounded woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
