YUKON, Okla. (AP) - The Yukon School Board has approved a settlement with two former students who accused agriculture teachers and students of bullying.

Yukon Public Schools Superintendent Jason Simeroth says the settlement approved Monday calls for the district to pay the women $100,000. According to The Oklahoman https://bit.ly/SDe03D ), the settlement also calls for a retired instructor to pay the women $10,000.

The women, who are not identified in court records, are now in college. A civil lawsuit says they were harassed and bullied during the 2010-2011 school year after their mothers helped uncover misconduct and fraud within the school’s vocational agriculture program.

Simeroth says the district has since implemented anti-bullying training for students and faculty and set up two hotlines for students and parents to report instances of bullying.
