LAS VEGAS (AP) - Federal authorities in Las Vegas say they’re looking for additional victims after the arrest of a 45-year-old family and marriage counselor on allegations that he tried to solicit a 13-year-old girl for sex.
Ian Alexander Pincombe appeared Wednesday before a U.S. magistrate judge in Las Vegas, who ordered him held pending a May 21 court appearance on a coercion and enticement of a minor charge.
Pincombe could face 10 years to life in prison and a $250,000 fine if he’s convicted.
The criminal complaint alleges that Pincombe sent sexually explicit emails and text messages to an undercover Henderson police detective who posed as the girl answering a Craigslist.com ad.
Authorities say Pincombe was arrested May 2 at a Henderson parking lot where he arranged to meet the girl for sex.
