Report: Many in NYC struggle with poverty

NEW YORK (AP) - The New York City Center for Economic Opportunity says the number of residents with severe money struggles has increased over the last five years.

It reports that 46 percent are at or near the poverty line.

The figure is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s executive budget proposal.
