DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Residents of Dubuque are seeing minor flooding of the Mississippi River, but levels should begin to slowly subside.

The Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1s86rMz ) the river had climbed to 18.46 feet at Dubuque’s railroad bridge by Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service forecasts the river in Dubuque will crest at 18.8 feet Friday night and then gradually begin to recede.

The river likely will remain about the 17-foot flood stage for at least a week.

Water was covering some areas bordering the river but no severe problems were reported.
