HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall University’s School of Kinesiology is planning a five-day camp to teach people with disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle.
The Lose the Training Wheels Camp is set for July 14-18 at Huntington High School.
The fourth annual camp is co-sponsored by the charity iCanShine. Marshall says in a news release that the charity’s staff members travel the country conducting the camps and have an average success rate of more than 80 percent.
Participants must be at least 8 years old, have a minimum inseam of 20 inches, weigh less than 220 pounds and be able to walk without assistive devices. The registration fee is $100. Some scholarships are available.
