GLENDORA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a car has smashed into a bank in a Los Angeles suburb, slightly injuring two people.

Glendora police say a 69-year-old motorist lost control of the car shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a US Bank branch.

Her car jumped a curb and plowed through a glass wall, winding up almost entirely inside the bank.

Police say the driver gashed her head and a bank employee was struck by a piece of furniture. Both were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash but say the driver may have suffered a medical problem.
