ACKWORTH, Iowa (AP) - One person has been injured in a fire that damaged a storage building near Ackworth.

The Des Moines Register reports that (https://dmreg.co/1mFC52y ) fire crews were dispatched around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. The blaze was fought by Carlisle, Hartford, Indianola, Milo and Pleasantville firefighters.

The property owner was injured and was taken to a hospital. The building was being used to store tractors and farm equipment.



The fire cause is being investigated.

Ackworth sits 18 miles southeast of Des Moines.
