CADILLAC, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say vandals caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to 17 passenger railroad cars in Michigan’s northwestern Lower Peninsula.

The Cadillac News and MLive.com report the Wexford County sheriff’s department says lights, seats and windows were broken on the railroad cars that were being stored in Cadillac. The damage was discovered by an employee of Great Lakes Central Railroad.

Deputies were called to the scene on Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they didn’t immediately have any suspects. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the sheriff’s department.
