ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police on Thursday identified the pedestrian killed after being hit by a vehicle.
Police in a release say the victim in the Sunday accident was 44-year-old Frederick Loon.
Police say the vehicle-pedestrian collision occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. Sunday on Tudor Road near the intersection of Florina Street.
According to police, the collision occurred about 100 yards from a crosswalk.
Loon was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead there just before 11:40 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the woman driving the vehicle that struck the pedestrian is cooperating in the investigation, which continues.
