SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Two diners at an eatery south of Salt Lake City are recovering in the hospital after a car smashed through the dining room window.

Draper City police Sgt. Chad Carpenter says the pair sustained non-life threatening injuries at the Corner Bakery Cafe located at 264 E. 12300 South.

Carpenter says he does not know the victim’s names or the extent of their injuries.



The front of the car reportedly smashed through the window about 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

The driver, a 72-year-old woman, was getting ready to park when her vehicle scaled the curb and slammed into the seating area.

Draper City Police are investigating the accident.

Corner Bakery Cafe operates franchises in 15 states and in Washington, D.C.
