MARION, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois woman is on trial on charges that she played a role in the 2011 shooting death of her father.

Fifty-four-year-old Cindy Stearns is charged in Williamson County with first-degree murder in the death of 73-year-old Charles James in Herrin.

Two other defendants already are serving prison time for James’ death. Eighteen-year-old Joshua Dallacosta was found guilty and sentenced to 45 years. His mother, 38-year-old Kate Bodie, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and is serving a 50-year sentence.

A possible motive for the killing has not been released.
