SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a man has died after the vehicle he was driving was struck by a tire that came across Interstate 75 in Oakland County.
WEYI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1ilwb74 ) the 49-year-old from Ortonville died after the crash Tuesday evening in Springfield Township. State police say the man was heading southbound when the tire from a northbound vehicle came across the roadway.
The crash about 35 miles northwest of Detroit is under investigation. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact the Michigan State Police post in Flint.
