NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - A 28-year-old man has been extradited from New York and arraigned on a murder charge in a fatal shooting last August in New London.

The Day of New London reports (https://bit.ly/1fOLQwL) that prosecutors told a judge Tuesday they believe Keith Ramel Delvalle shot Jesus “Gee” Pinero of Norwich during what they called a “wild west shootout.”

Pinero the father of a 4-year-old boy, died of multiple gunshot wounds after someone opened fire at him on Aug. 29 in New London.

Police say they recovered two handguns at the scene. One of them was traced to 33-year-old Lance Brown of Uncasville, who also has been charged in the case.

Delvalle was arrested in the Bronx in February and returned to the state on Monday.
