MARLBORO, N.J. (AP) - There’s no word what caused a fire that leveled a home to its foundation in Marlboro Township.
The blaze broke out early Wednesday on Marseille Terrace in the township’s remote and wooded Morganville section.
News 12 New Jersey reports the couple who owned the home were alerted by smoke detectors and escaped unharmed.
Firefighters had to stretch hoses nearly a mile to the nearest fire hydrant and used tanker trucks to supply water to fight the blaze.
