KODIAK, Alaska (AP) - The Afognak Native Corp. has a new president and CEO on board, an executive who has been with the Kodiak-based corporation for the past decade.
KMXT (https://is.gd/6lsjP4) says Gregory Hambright officially began his new post May 1.
Company officials say Hambright will be relocating to Alaska from Alabama, where he has been working as a senior vice president at one of Afognak’s offices.
Hambright will be based in Anchorage.
He is expected to be in Kodiak later this month for the corporation’s annual meeting.
Hambright was selected in a nationwide search. He replaces interim CEO Dusty Kaser, who came out of semiretirement to fill in when former CEO Dick Hobbs left Afognak.
Afognak spokesman Gerard Godfrey says Hambright has overseen and directed the corporation’s technical services division.
