GLENDIVE, Mont. (AP) - A murder trial is underway for a Glendive man accused of stabbing a person whom he and his girlfriend believed was a drug informant.

Levi Stark is accused of killing 25-year-old Matthew Weisman, whose body was found in his trailer home in December 2012.

KXGN-AM reports attorneys gave their opening statements to a jury Tuesday. Dawson Count Attorney Olivia Regier said the case is about rage, obsession and violence.

Court documents previously filed by Regier allege several people told investigators that his girlfriend believed Wiseman had snitched on her in a drug case.

Jessica Miller-Grossman previously pleaded guilty to her role in Wiseman’s death.

Defense attorney Matt Wald told jurors reality is rarely black and white and that Stark is expected to testify in his own defense.
