PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A Jackson County judge will allow prosecutors to use blood test results in the trial of a Pascagoula police officer charged with striking and killing a teenage girl with his truck.
Daniel Roy Snyder was off-duty last February when the accident occurred. He has been suspended without pay.
Snyder is charged with leaving the scene of an accident after the death of Kaytlynn Brann. Brann was walking down a street in Gulf Park Estates subdivision when she was hit.

Prosecutors say in court documents that a portable breath test given to Snyder 45 minutes after the accident registered a blood alcohol level of 0.102 percent. A blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent is considered legally intoxicated in Mississippi.
