SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) - A Coast Guard helicopter has rescued two hikers caught by the tides and stranded on a coastal cliff near Seaside.

The Daily Astorian reports (https://bit.ly/1lVDq6U ) the Portland-area hikers were at Ecola State Park on Monday evening. A third hiker was able to scale the cliff and called for help.

A helicopter flew from Astoria and along with a rescue swimmer hoisted them up 200 feet and flew them to safety.



Authorities say nobody was hurt.
