COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - The Missouri Department of Conservation is looking for volunteers to help with a study of turtle migration patterns.
The agency says participants in the turtle trapping and tagging study at Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area near Columbia should be prepared to get messy. The conservation department is looking for help on four days, starting on May 14 through May 20. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Eagle Bluffs manager Vic Bogosian studies turtle movements to better gauge needed water levels in the conservation site’s wetlands.
