KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) - One person has died and another person has been hurt in a fire at a home in Kannapolis.
The fire was reported about 2:30 a.m. Monday.
The fire department says a man and woman were pulled from the back of the house. The man died at the scene and the woman has been taken to a hospital for treatment. There was no word on her condition.
Their names have not been released.
Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
