GRAND CHENIER, La. (AP) - State officials say the East End Locks boat launch at Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge in Grand Chenier has reopened.
The launch and parking area, accessible from Louisiana Highway 82, had been closed in April for ramp modifications.
A spokesman for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says the modified ramp now allows boaters to launch in low-tide conditions.
The wildlife refuge is in eastern Cameron and western Vermilion parishes.
