Lafourche bridge closed for up to 6 weeks

LAROSE, La. (AP) - Authorities in Lafourche Parish say repairs to the T-Bois Lift Bridge will keep the bridge closed to vehicles for up to six weeks.

Work began recently on the bridge, which crosses Bayou Lafourche in Larose. It is open only for passage of boat traffic.

Alternate routes are the new Larose Lift Bridge to the south and Valentine Bridge to the north.
