SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Sioux Falls Fire Rescue will break ground on a new fire station on Monday.
KELO television reports (https://bit.ly/1lOYewM ) that Station No. 11 in the northwest part of the city will sit on 1 1/2 acres of land and include a three-bay garage with support spaces. There will also be four sleeping rooms, a physical training area, laundry, a living room, offices and a headquarters for the battalion chief.
A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at the site at North Valley View Road and Maple Street.
The station is slated to open in the spring of 2015.
