ALQUBUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say a woman is recovering after being shot in the face while driving in Albuquerque.
Albuquerque police spokesman Daren DeAguero says the woman was driving westbound around 4:15 p.m. Friday on Paseo del Norte when an object went through her windshield.
DeAguero says the object then hit the woman’s face.
She was taken to a hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
He says officers identified it as a projectile from a firearm.
Witnesses tell investigators that they saw a male subject standing on a bridge at the time of the shooting.
DeAguero says police are looking for suspects.
